10 years of e-commerce logistics, growth, and progress
· Juhlatoimikunta (the anniversary committee)
Time flies, and early this year it had already been 10 years since Logitrail’s very first parcel. A milestone like that can’t go uncelebrated, so we invited both our customers and our partners to raise a glass to a long-running partnership. The birthday was celebrated at Logitrail’s warehouse in Raisio on 10 October 2025, and in this post we tell you what that wonderful day was all about.
Once our office — transformed into a cosy party venue — had filled up nicely with guests, our CEO Linda opened the event with a welcome speech. She didn’t need to go too deep into Logitrail’s history, since we’d put together our own history wall for that. Each year’s panel on the wall highlighted key moments in both text and photos. Naturally, not every great — and sometimes a little challenging — moment could fit on the panels, since so much has happened over the years. Logitrail’s journey has also passed through three different cities. It all started at the Port of Turku, continued to the neighbouring municipality of Kaarina, and eventually moved to our current premises in Raisio. It was lovely that Raisio’s city manager sent us a video greeting, and that representatives from the city of Raisio joined us as guests too.
Our guests got to surprise us right from the start. We hadn’t asked for gifts, let alone expected any, but we still had to build a gift table on the fly to display the wonderful gestures our guests brought. Worth mentioning is the ship’s bell brought by Marineparts — a customer since Logitrail’s earliest days — with our years of partnership engraved on its base: 10 years, along with a patch of old-growth forest from Hyvinvoinnin Tavaratalo.
VoiVeljet, known from several of Turku’s top restaurants, conjured up some wonderful treats, and while enjoying them, guests could take part in Logitrail’s birthday Kahoot! And of course, since we were at the warehouse, we had to show it off too. Warehouse managers Niko and Elisa gave guided tours on the hour, every hour, and answered plenty of good questions. Plastic-free packing and Logitrail’s own warehouse systems drew particular interest.
Customers were also clearly pleased to see and hear how their own wishes had made it into the new merchant panel. Our head of development, Jaakko, had promised to show a glimpse of it, and used the moment to talk more broadly about where our service is headed. A few brand-new ideas even came out of those conversations, ideas that will surely show up in Logitrail’s service one way or another in the future. And it was heart-warming to hear some of the feedback too: apparently Logitrail’s excellent customer service, paired with an easy and convenient merchant panel, make us pretty great to work with.
Over the years we’ve had the chance to grow, develop, and learn an enormous amount in this important work of ours, where we carry a big responsibility for our merchants’ customer experience. We want to thank our customers, our partners, and our team for their trust. Without you, there would be no Logitrail, and no 10 years full of successes and experiences in e-commerce logistics.
From here, it’s a good place to keep going together — toward more years, and more celebrations! 🎉
